Accessibility
Our commitment to making Odyssey VR Lounge accessible to everyone.
Our commitment
Odyssey VR Lounge is committed to making our online experiences accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where reasonably possible for a business of our size.
Physical location accessibility
Our lounge at 6200 Center St, Suite E, Clayton, CA 94517 is designed to be accessible to guests with mobility needs. Please contact us in advance if you have specific access requirements — such as wheelchair accommodations, seizure-safe VR settings, or sensory needs — and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Digital accessibility features
Our in-lounge game library kiosk includes the following accessibility features:
- Alt text on all game cover images, so screen readers can identify games
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Color is not used alone to convey information — every color-coded element also has a text label
- Adjustable grid density (comfortable, dense, tiny) to suit different visual preferences
- Descriptive labels on icon-only buttons for screen readers
- Trailer video controls follow YouTube and Vimeo's built-in accessibility standards
- An external "Watch on YouTube/Vimeo" button is provided for every trailer, giving users an alternative access path
Known limitations
We're aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
- Video trailers autoplay muted when a game is opened. Sound can be enabled by tapping the player's volume control. If autoplay is uncomfortable, closing the game panel will stop the video.
- Some individual trailers may not play inline due to third-party embedding restrictions from the video host. In these cases, a "Watch on YouTube" or "Watch on Vimeo" button opens the trailer in a new tab.
- Game cards are optimized for touch input on the in-lounge iPad kiosk. Full keyboard navigation of the card grid is a work in progress.
- Some staff-only features (like Staff Mode) are activated by long-press and are not currently keyboard-accessible. These are for internal use and don't affect the customer experience.
Reporting an accessibility barrier
If you encounter any accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know. We take these reports seriously and aim to respond within 2 business days.

Assessment approach
This statement was prepared based on a self-review of our website and kiosk app. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit, but plan to do so as our business grows. In the meantime, we welcome feedback from users and will act on any accessibility issues brought to our attention.
